Location
Lagoinha is approximately 90 km north-west of Fortaleza,
the nearest big city with 2,5 mill. inhabitants.
Not far away are the seaside resorts Paracuru (20 km),
Cumbuco (50 km) and the famous harbour of Pecem.

Landscape and Environment, Excursions
The coast is characterised by beautiful sand dunes and
white beaches. Several rivers flow into the Atlantic Ocean;
these form sweet water lagoons in the hinterland.
The nearest is only 3 km away from Lagoinha, where
you can rent a boat or swim and also enjoy
typical Brazilian food.

Along the coast are various pretty villages to be discovered. To the north-west are the small fishing villages Guajiru (25 km), Flexeira (35 km) and Mundau (50km), at the mouth of river Mundau.
Approximately 200 km away is the famous and lively seaside resort Jericoacoara.
In the hinterland is the Sertao, a gently rolling savannah with a hot and dry climate. "Serra de Uruburetama”, a low mountain range, is also a pleasant excursion.
